The mules walked for 9 days from Madera Ranchos to The mules walked for 9 days from Madera Ranchos to where we are now in Elk Grove. We averaged about 15 miles a day. We are going to rest here for a few days and recuperate from the heat.

The Mules left Turlock yesterday morning about 8:0 The Mules left Turlock yesterday morning about 8:00 a.m. , got to Modesto about 7:00 p.m. , walked 16 miles, stopped at WinCo, bought some supplies, then found a place to sleep for the night in Modesto. Walked by this place many times before but never stopped to spend the night here. Was a good place last night. Pictured of course are the many people who gave their energy, the fuel to keep the Three Mules Journey moving freely in any one of all four directions, a most necessary right for all citizens. The Three Mules Journey is one of the ways by which this right must be protected all day everyday. The mules left madera ranchos The day before yeste The mules left madera ranchos The day before yesterday walked 20 miles to get to Fresno and the Verizon store where we paid our phone bill. We then walked to WinCo and bought a number of items at the bulk food section. found a place to rest for the night didn't take a picture forgot to. We slept along a canal next to Walmart and had a good night sleep. got up early and left our place of rest at about 6:30 a.m. Walked 20 miles to get back to Madera ranchos where we have been resting for a while. as soon as Rosie gets shoes Will be on our way north. pictured are the many people who we met on our incursion into Fresno. We want to thank them for their energy that made that incursion successful

The mules left tehachapi June 20th and got to Made The mules left tehachapi June 20th and got to Madera Ranchos July 2nd stopping here at tucky's place as we have many times before to take a few days rest. A couple of days later Ashley came by bringing a loaf of sourdough bread and a jar of kifer from her Wild Acre Bread Company. for us the mules. This sourdough bread is so good. So much better than what you'll find at the supermarket. Thank you Ashley
